Madison Firm Featured In Milwaukee County Rain Garden Tour
Earth & Water Works, LLC Features “Best Management Practice” Rain Gardens
In the past three years Earth & Water Works, LLC, a Madison based design/install firm has completed more than nine rain gardens in the Milwaukee Metropolitan area. Six of them were “best management practice” demonstration projects completed through a contract with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District. Two of those rain gardens, one at 4903 West Burnham, just behind Miller Park and one at 1144 West Bruce Street will be featured in the Sunday, July 24 th Milwaukee County Rain Garden Tour.
A third rain garden, completed in partnership with the Friends of South Shore Park Watch and the Milwaukee County Parks Department at South Shore Yacht Club, Iron Street at South Shore Drive, will also be featured.
Earth & Water Works’ Vice President, Susan Priebe said, “We are pleased to have our work showcased in this first-ever Milwaukee County tour. It provides an opportunity to demonstrate both the community and commercial projects we have worked on to help reduce stormwater pollution and to add beauty to the Milwaukee area.”
